Research Assignment 1   Simcha G. van Leeuwen   André Kertész was Hungarian born photographer but has done work all over the world  notably Paris where he lived for a time , he also did work in   Hungary and  American. Andre s   work is almost exclusively black and white very little of his pictures were in  colour, he only briefly experimented with colour photography .   Andre s  subject matter varied somewhat throughout his career it was broken up into 4 periods.  Hungarian, French, American and international period. During his Hungarian  period,  he photographed   l ocal peasants,  gypsies , and landscape s  in Hungary, he also took  photos when he was in the army of the trenches etc. During this  time,  he also used his wife, or soon to be  wife  and brother for pictures and conti nued to do so  throughout  his career.  During his  French   period,  h...
